FlexCrete, a revolutionary building material features ease of construction, high fire resistance, excellent insulation, cost effectiveness, and much, much, more.

FlexCrete fiber-reinforced aerated concrete is a product of FlexCrete Building Systems, LC.

Building with FlexCrete provides many advantages over other traditional concrete construction alternatives. All FlexCrete materials are formulated using high volumes of fly ash, a recovered resource that is in abundant supply wherever coal is burned for generating electricity or for other industrial uses. In contrast with other forms of aerated concrete, because of the unique physical properties of fly ash, FlexCrete is cured at low temperatures and ambient pressure, thus eliminating the use of energy intensive autoclaves. Available in Precision blocks, Mega blocks, and Thin Cladding Boards (TCBs), FlexCrete is suitable for use in all types of commercial, industrial and residential applications.

FlexCrete block is suitable for load bearing and non-load bearing walls in all types of commercial, industrial and residential applications.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete has been used for more than 70 years, primarily in Europe and Asia. AAC features small air bubbles embedded throughout the product, and offers many advantages over traditional concrete or concrete block construction. But traditional aerated concrete is expensive and energy intensive, because it is cured in high temperature, high pressure autoclaves. FlexCrete is an aerated concrete that is cured at lower temperatures and ambient pressure—eliminating the need for an energy intensive autoclave.

A very green material, FlexCrete contains up to 60% post industrial waste products, is impervious to mold and fungi, has excellent thermal properties, and contributes to the requirements for LEED Green Building Certification(tm), particularly in Texas and surrounding locales.

FlexCrete is proud to honor the spirit of Lewis & Clark’s expedition to discover America’s natural resources through the sponsorship of the Headwaters Fort Mandan Visitor Center – a celebration of history and a living demonstration of uses for coal combustion products. Exterior walls were constructed using FlexCrete block.
